HW: RJ 18.3 IRP GOAL! 30 iReady Lessons
Start of Class:
As we all began taking down our seats and writing down the agenda, Andres began to read his blog. Once he finished reading his blog he told Ms. Nakada that he wanted to do a wheel. Ms. Nakada spun the wheel before it landed on Ezra, who wasn't here. She spun the wheel again before it landed on Nuala, who also wasn't here. She then spun the wheel for the last time, because it landed on me.
Week 18 G:Q:Q:S:L:
Ms. Nakada told us to bring out our English notebooks to begin resuming our Week 18 G:Q:Q:S:L. We began with the question, "What is one thing from middle school you'll take with you/ leave behind." Some people shared their answer, but then we began analyzing our song of the week, "Everybody's Free (to wear sunscreen)" by Baz Luhrmann. This song was about your youth and was giving you a lot of advice.
Middle of Class:
Ms. Nakada began to explain what an original oratory is. She explained that it is a short speech about a single truth / real world problem. Next, we moved onto the Get Lit Performance. Ms. Nakada then said we would have ten minutes to work on our Get Lit Performances before we would present our performance to the class. Once the ten minutes ended, groups began to stand up and present. First, Greg's group went up, then Marcel, and then Natalie's group.
End of Class:
The bell rang abruptly, and we all shuffled out class.
