School Trip Prompts.
HW: RJ 9.3 T.O. Ch. 12
After that, Daniel read his absolutely gorgeous and delightful blog he was chosen to write for his birthday, and after it was done, he had to pick who was going next. I was PRAYING he wouldn't pick me, and for a second he didn't. He passed me bye, opting to choose Aria instead. But it didn't last for long, because soon the facade was up, and Daniel's TRUE intentions were revealed as he called my name to come up. I was shocked by this betrayal, and I will get my revenge!
We got settled into Creatober, where we saw Ezra's wonderful presentation about Aura, sadly Ezra will soon lose all of his aura. We saw Miri's beautiful sardine socks and the amazing Bart Simpson by Sadie, and the gorgeous Poggy Woggy for Luke's presentation.
We then started on The Outsiders. This chapter, we get more info on the rumble, and Dally asks for Two-Bit's switch blade, which is huge because it's Two-Bit's most prized possession. They run into Cherry, and she tells him the rules of the rumble, and Cherry talks to Pony about Bob's death, and how Cherry couldn't see Johnny because he killed Bob, her boyfriend. Pony gets mad at Cherry, telling her to not feel bad for them because of her luxury and his plight, calling her out for being a traitor to her own people and a unfaithful to them. But they reconnect over the sunsets.
In the next chapter, while they are preparing for the rumble, Pony decides to ask everyone fights. Cut to the fight, Darry's old friend, Paul, leads the Socs. Darry steps up to fight Paul. Paul takes a cheap shot at Darryl and the fight is on. The greasers eventually "Won" because someone brought out a pipe, giving the greasers an advantage. Afterwards, Pony and Dally run to the hospital, and get pulled over. Dally lies to get passed it, and receive an ironic police escort to the hospital. Johnny tells Pony to stay gold and sadly, dies.
We were then given our school trip prompts to work on. We were to write a body paragraph based on one of four prompts:
1. Write about how idioms or puns are used throughout the book, and how they enhance the the narrative.
2. How School Trip or other books help fill the void of as the book says, "Kids like us."
3. How do 3 different characters encounter change and how do they grow.
4. How does the book depict the french lifestyle, and how will you implement it into your lifestyle.
As we were sent to choose our prompts, a loud discussion about eating glue and chapstick broke out. In my opinion, some chapstick is scrumdiddlyuptious, but eating glue is yucky. And now, someone will have to suffer the dreaded blog just as I have.
