Beginning of Class
We all walked into class and settled into our seats. Ms. Nakada started off by wishing us a happy Dio de Los Muertos day while playing some music. After we wrote down the agenda, Ms. Nakada explained our essays prompts assignment. We can pick any prompt as long as it shows that we read what we did it on. This could be The Outsiders, School Trip, or even 'The Poverty Myth." After getting to see some examples everyone got to writing, except me of course. After a couple minutes of clicking Ms. Nakada explained that the NaNoWriMo site was still down and told everybody to start writing on a Google doc.
NaNoWriMo
Everyone got to writing quietly which was soon disrupted by Nason's cough and sniffle followed by Marcel's cough. Then it went quiet with the sound of clicking keys in every direction. As I looked around I managed to see Nason, again, carefully analyzing the clouds outside of the window, (he was staring into space.) Not only that but I also managed to see Jacob analyzing the wood planks that line the floor, (he was staring at the floor). I asked Jonah how many words he had on his novel and as of 11:37, November 1st 2024, 3rd period, he had 84. With nothing to write here because of the nonstop clicking, I started to read the posters on the wall. "Water does not resist. Water flows...[...] Dripping water wears away stone.[...] Remember you are half water. If you can't go through an obstacle, go around it. Water does." - Margaret Atwood. Ms. Nakada then started to go around checking agendas and reading journals. After this Ms. Nakada went to that NaNoWriMo progress board and asked everyone what percent done we were. I shamefully had to say 0.
Week 12 Quiz
Ms. Nakada told everyone to log onto Schoology and to start the Week 12 Quiz. After about maybe two minutes, the bell rang, ending class today. I have so much work to do tomorrow.
The End
