Beginning of Class
As we all walked into class and took our seats, the bell rang and Ms. Nakada played the take a minute video. We all wrote the agenda down in our binders while the video played in the background. After about five minutes, Grace got up to read her blog. Afterwards, she chose the next person to write the blog by choosing the people who did not do it a second time yet to have their names put on the wheel. The wheel spun and unfortunately landed on my name. I walked to the front of the class and began to write while Ms. Nakada corrected Grace's blog.
Culmination Requirements
Ms. Nakada began to talk to us about the required areas needed to participate in the 8th grade culmination. We got our notebooks out and began writing these seven requirements down, which included good citizenship, a clear financial record, and being in uniform daily, while some students began suggesting some possibilities that could keep them from graduating to Ms. Nakada. Ms. Nakada answered all of these suggestions, and the class began a lengthy conversation.
Remainder of Class
We were reminded again of the NaNoWriMo submission requirements, and were allowed to spend the rest of the period working on this assignment. The class began to work on the assignment and Ms. Nakada played soft music through the speakers in the front. About fifteen minutes later, the bell rang, taking the class by surprise. Everyone began packing up and heading out through the door.
