Beginning of class
We all got into class and sat down to realize that a ton of kids were missing. Someone told the class that the people were missing because it was all the drama kids practicing for the upcoming play this Friday. Once we all got settled down Ms. Nakada started the take a minute while everyone else wrote down their Agenda. Then, Ms. Nakada pulled up Solomon's Blog and started to read it, until Miri asked if she could read the blog and choose who will go next.
Miri started to tell Solomon's blog in the way she think he sounded until she just started to read it normally. After she finished she said she wanted to do the wheel and she sat down, Miri picked me first to be 25%of the wheel and then put Jaxon, Blace, Jesse, and Ms. Nakada. Then, Ms. Nakada spun the wheel and it landed on nobody, I thought I was safe but then she asked for a reroll and it ofc landed on me.
After I got chosen, I (Jacob) went up and started my blog. Then, Ms Nakada said to get into your lit- circles. We read for about 10 minutes then went back to our seats.
After we all got back to our seats, Ms. Nakada put on a video of a woman named Amanda Gorman giving a speech at the inauguration called "The Hill We Climb."
We transitioned into our G,Q,Q,L and answered the question "whose shoulders do you stand on and who do you stand for?" I said that I stand on my parents shoulders and I stand for ? (I didn't know what that meant at the time I wrote this blog) Then, we went to our lines portion of our G,Q,Q,L. We read "Hanging Fire" by Audre Lorde and wrote down and circled important things we notice in the lines.
We flipped through our English notebooks to our table of contexts and wrote down I.O.A.B.A. essays and the bell rang and everyone packed up and leaves.
