Start of Class
The bell rang and we all walked into class to settle into our seats. We took a minute, and this time it was about happiness and how to reach it. Many of us had mixed feelings about the take a minute, as we questioned whether helping others was the best way to gain happiness in the present moment.
8th Grade Cap & Gowns
After the take a minute Ms. Nakada asked us how our 8th grade cap and gown pictures came out. We told her about how time consuming and interesting the experience was. She then handed us fund photo pieces of paper that offered photoshoots for students who wanted to support Emerson's PACE.
Book Fair
Later, Ms. Nakada announced that we could all go to the book fair for a bit. Our Class walked down through the halls to the book fair. A few students purchased books (many bought stationary and lollipops). Then after a while we went back to class and got back to work.
Blog Corrections
Ms. Nakada presented her outstanding blog and corrected it with us. She asked if there was anyone who hadn't done the blog yet. I rose my hand quickly and told her that I wanted to do the blog. She agreed, and I headed over to the bloggers chair. Surprisingly I was in the mood to blog, so I was eager to get started.
GQQSL
We started working on our GQQSL. The song for the week was "Freedom" by Beyonce Feat and Kendrick Lamar. The song was about all the ways freedom is restricted. Ms. Nakaka scrolled through the lyrics to the song so that we could all write down our favorite lines. After writing down favorite lines from the song, we glued in the poem for the week.
Student Led Conference Letters
Next we moved on to finishing our student led conference letters. If any of us didn't finish it was assigned as homework.
End of Class
Finally the bell rang, marking the end of class. π
