Start of Class:
As I walked into class today, I had a plan. I was going to choose myself to be the blogger, so I don't get targeted when I choose the next person. Once the class settled down, Ms. Nakada started handing out ice cream and mochi! At first, I was going to have a mochi for myself, but when I saw Ms. Nakada taking out chocolate ice cream cones I changed my mind. By the way, the ice cream and mochi was so good and I want to quickly thank Ms. Nakada for buying us ice cream. Anyways, back to the blog.
Middle of Class:
After I got situated into my blogger seat, Ms. Nakada passed out glue sticks, scissors, and our lines for the week. The lines we had this week was, "It's Not Your Job" by: Caitlyn Siehl. Ms. Nakada read aloud the poem as the class silently listened. After she finished reading, the class came to the conclusion that the poem was about questioning gender norms, not having to follow rules/norms, beauty standards, and more. Miri brought up an experience when she cut her hair and many boys were being mean. The class then started discussing more about beauty standards that society makes women/girls feel like they have to oblige. Ms. Nakada then let Sage finish the discussion with how she felt as we all slowly transitioned into lit circles.
Story Time:
My story for today is about Natalie (AKA smol bean). Yesterday, Natalie said she would post a TikTok on her spam account if I posted another alpha spam video, which I did. However, when I checked her spam account today, she never posted anything. I felt betrayed, upset, and disappointed. She was supposed to be my smol bean but it felt like she was more of a pookopp. Natalie and I discussed in Geometry about are feelings on this very important topic and came to a conclusion that we are still each other's smol beans. Also, I know this story is about to take a detour but, I wanted to tell the whole class my amazing news! I officially have 30 wives! I know, I know Natalie is a little jealous since I haven't asked her to be my platonic wife yet, but I know she will be fine.
End of Class:
After the class finished lit circles, Ms. Nakada told the class to start doing some research for our black author project! Ms. Nakada told the class to settle down a little bit, but to be honest, the class never did. Shortly after, the bell rang and class was over! This was my fourth blog, and I had a blast! I'm going to give a few shoutouts!
Miri: She let me use her jacket when I was cold.
Sage: Attempted to kill Fred, the big fat bug
Natalie: She is my smol bean and she was also my pookopp for one minute
Nuala: Murderer of Fred. My first platonic wife.
Nason: He tried to get me to choose him for the blog today, but I didn't.
This is all the time I have for shoutouts and I wish I could do more! Sorry! Byeee!
