Read/Write a poem a day!
Beginning of Class
As we all entered class we took out our binder reminders and began to write the agenda for the day. Sadie then got up and read her blog to the class and once she finished Ms.Nakada asked her who she would like to choose for the next blog. I started to get nervous as I remembered that it was only me and a couple other people who still hadn't done the blog yet. So I slowly raised up my hand when Ms.Nakada told us to if we hadn't done the blog yet. Of course Sadie spotted me slowly setting my hand down while "no one was looking"and asked Ms.Nakada to put me on the wheel two times while she also requested for Alyssa to be on the wheel two times and Solomon was put on the wheel only once.
Middle of Class
Ms.Nakada then told us to take out our English Notebook and began this week's Question and Song for our GQQSL.
Question: "How can you develop mental toughness"?
While I was still writing the agenda down I heard multiple people voicing their thoughts on how "discipline, consistency, and harsh words" all have a part in your own development for mental toughness.
Song: "King of Pain"-The Police
Majority of the classes thoughts and opinions of this song were not that great, if this song could be described in three words most people could agree that this is a "negative, pessimistic, and a very dwelled on type of song"
End of Class
Ms.Nakada then instructed us to begin going into our reading journals this week which are basically writing and reading a poem a day, while Ms.Nakada was reading a poem people then started volunteer to read the poem again and after that was finished up the class switched into writing their own poem for there reading journals. Ms.Nakada then read her poem for Mr.Hastings because he is unfortunately retiring, and after that a bunch of hands raised up in the air and for the remainder of class people were reading there really fun and creative poems. The bell then rang and everyone packed up their stuff and waited to be dismissed by Ms.Nakada to head into the fourth period.
