Week 17: Quiz

HW: Stay cool over the weekend!

Start of class:

We all settled into class after nutrition. I went straight to the bloggers chair because I knew I was the last blogger and that it would be my turn to blog. Ms. Nakada played the take a minute video which was about mindful breathing. The take a minute had really helped me feel more relaxed and grounded.

Blog corrections:

Luke read his excellent blog and we did blog corrections. Then, Ms. Nakada announced that I was officially the next blogger. I grabbed the bloggers computer and started typing. The feeling of being the last blogger and surviving many wheels due to my luck was deeply satisfying.

Printing poems:

To prepare for the Gallery walk of our broadsides and poems, Ms. Nakada passed out original poems that she had printed for students. Everyone in the class gathered their broadside and chapbook poems. Many students lined up and requested Ms. Nakada to print out their poems. This long line of requests lasted a good ten minutes until we were finally ready for the gallery walk.

Gallery walk:

We set all of our poems that showcased our hard work throughout April onto desks. We all did a gallery walk and immersed ourselves into a poetic world, as we viewed each other's unique perspectives on literature. All of our poem chapbooks and broadsides filled the room. There were so many creative pieces of poetry surrounding us.

No week 17 quiz:

Our gallery walk lasted longer than we anticipated. The bell rang and Ms. Nakada dismissed our class without making us take a quiz. Thank you Ms. Nakada!
